Bounty Star: A Mech-Farming Bounty-Hunting Western Game?

We just recently ran across Bounty Star: The Morose Tale of Graveyard Clem, an upcoming action-adventure game from DINOGOD and Annapurna Interactive, that somehow blends together mech combat, bounty hunting, and farming into a gritty sci-fi western. If nothing else, this is definitely going to be a wild and unique ride.

A Lone Bounty Hunter’s Tale

Set in the desolate Red Expanse of a post-apocalyptic American Southwest, Bounty Star follows Clementine McKinney, a tough-as-nails ex-soldier turned desert bounty hunter. Haunted by her past, Clem seeks redemption while taking on dangerous contracts in her customizable mech, Desert Ghost. The story weaves a somber, character-driven narrative about survival and self-discovery, with a western twang reminiscent of Firefly or The Mandalorian. Early impressions suggest a mix of intense action and quiet, reflective moments as you build a home base between missions, hinting at a more personal journey under the dusty skies.

Bounty Star - Farming never felt so metal!

Mech Combat Meets Farming Sim

Bounty Star delivers a fresh gameplay cocktail: by day, you pilot Desert Ghost in third-person mech combat, battling outlaws and monsters with an arsenal of guns, melee attacks, and special abilities. The combat feels weighty yet responsive, with customization letting you tweak weapons, armor, and skills to suit your playstyle, think Armored Core with a western twist. By night, you’re back at your homestead, farming crops, crafting ammo, and upgrading your mech in a cozy base-building loop inspired by Stardew Valley. It sounds like a such a great mix, I can't believe we haven't seen it before.
