Gran Turismo 7 Power Pack Launches Tomorrow: 50 New Races, GT Sophy 3.0 AI, and Exclusive Tuned Cars

Polyphony Digital is revving engines for one of Gran Turismo 7's biggest content drops yet. Tomorrow, December 4, 2025, the free Spec III update (v1.65) rolls out alongside the first-ever paid DLC: the Power Pack at $29.99, exclusively for PS5. After three years of generous free updates, this $30 add-on promises a "true racing experience" with 50 events, cutting-edge AI, and garage-filling rewards. It's time to go racing!

Dive into the official Power Pack trailer

Power Pack: Real Racing Simulations Await

The star of the show, the Power Pack transforms GT7 into a hardcore sim with 50 unique race events across 20 themed categories inspired by global motorsport history: Japan-Asia (Hachiroku 80's, Gran Turismo 300), Europe (GTI, GT ONE), America (Muscle Cars, Desert Beetle), Historic (Hakosuka '70s, Gr.C), Tuning Battles, and Nürburgring specials.

Key features:

  • Full race weekends: Practice, qualifying, and main event—no retries, real-time flow.
  • GT Sophy 3.0 AI: Polyphony's Sony AI collab delivers tail-to-nose realism, exclusive to DLC races.
  • 50 events include One-Make series, Gr.1/Gr.3 endurance (yes, 24-hour races!), and brutal challenges.
  • Rewards system: Earn Stars by finishing position to unlock bonuses and six exclusive tuned cars:
    • Bonus: 5,000,000 Cr. to kickstart your garage.

Access it via the new sailing boat icon on the World Map (after Menu Book No.9: Tokyo Highway Parade).

Are You Ready to Power Up?

Spec III New Cars Look at that beauty

At $30, the Power Pack update feels like a premium upgrade for players who have exhausted everything GT7 already has to offer. I'm most interested in the upgraded AI drivers, hopefully they can provide a better on-ramp between the standard AI races and the multiplayer lobbies. It's also nice that this DLC is paired with the free Spec III update, so there is something for all players to look forward to. It might be time to clear out some space on the PS5.
