Here is the First Official Look at the Upcoming Live-Action Legend of Zelda Movie!
In a surprise tweet this morning, Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed the first official images from the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, confirming that principal photography is now officially underway.
"This is Miyamoto. Filming is underway for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda in a lush, natural setting, with Bo Bragason-san who will play Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san who will play Link,"

The stunning set photos depict the duo perched on a hillside overlooking rolling green fields and distant hills, evoking the timeless beauty of Hyrule. Link sports his iconic green tunic with intricate embroidery, windswept blonde hair, and a stoic gaze, while Princess Zelda is dressed in a flowing blue gown, pointed elf ears, braided hair, and a quiver of arrows – blending classic designs with subtle nods to Breath of the Wild. Filming is taking place in New Zealand, promising epic landscapes akin to Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Miyamoto later added that production is progressing smoothly, and the movie is on track for it's scheduled release date of May 7, 2027.
