Here at GameMinr we are really looking forward to Terminator 2D: No Fate, an upcoming retro-styled action side-scroller from Bitmap Bureau, set to launch on October 31, 2025. This is an officially licensed adaptation of Terminator 2: Judgment Day that promises to deliver a love letter to '80s/’90s arcade classics on modern platforms like PS5, Switch, and PC. Seriously, T2D: No Fate looks like it stepped right out of a time bubble from a 90's arcade, and we couldn't be more excited for it.

A Retro Reimagining

Developed using Bitmap Bureau’s Abstraction engine, Terminator 2D: No Fate reimagines the iconic film’s events with glorious 16-bit visuals and authentic arcade mechanics. Players will control legends Sarah Connor, John Connor, and the T-800, facing off against the relentless T-1000 across a blend of movie scenes and original scenarios. All of the old arcade staples are here, beat-em ups, run and gun levels, driving segments, they have pulled out all the stops on this one.

Gameplay and Features

Expect adrenaline-pumping action with multiple modes: Story Mode retells T2 with new endings, while Arcade, Infinite, and Boss Rush cater to skill checks. The T-1000’s liquid metal menace is captured in detailed sprite work, and future war missions as John Connor look like a Contra spin-off we never knew we needed. With authentic music and visuals built from scratch, it’s designed to feel like the T2 game fans craved in their youth—complete with diverse levels and enemy types from Cyberdyne’s arsenal.
